The evil will bow before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous. Proverbs 14:19 (NKJV).
Looking around in the world it appears like evil reigns over good. But Scripture assures us of a wonderful ending when evil bows before good, when wickedness falls down before Righteousness. Yet even now as we await the final making right and restoration of all things we can have and enjoy the foretaste of good triumphant over evil, wickedness falling before Righteousness. Because Jesus has already overcome all the evil in the world – John 16:33. We can live right now in triumph over evil as we keep focusing on and doing what’s good. Scripture admonishes us not to repay evil with evil but do what’s right – Romans 12:17, not to revenge but leave it to God – Romans 12:19, do good to our enemies, not to be overcome by evil but to overcome evil with good – Romans 12:21.
