For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29 (AMPC)
There’s nothing concerning you, nothing that happens to you that catches God by surprise.
He’s the God of predestination. That means He foreknew and foreordained you from the foundation of the world, He knew you were coming and what you were coming here for. So He planned beforehand for your entire lifetime. He prearranged and made ready for your existence here on earth. He prepared ahead of time for your journey in this world from beginning to end.
Whatever you get into, whatever you get up against, at that moment it’s not when God starts figuring out how to help you. Most often we erroneously think that it’s when we talk to God in prayer about our situation that He gets to know about it and then begins on the process of working out a plan and solution. Before that issue came up, before that trouble brewed up, God already knew and had a plan in place.
In the book of Acts the Apostles faced a persecution that God foreknew and had a solution for several centuries before.
In Acts Chapter 3, Peter and John heal a crippled beggar in Jesus’ Name. This didn’t go well with the religious leaders who saw this as another reason for their followers running away from them to join that Jesus crowd which they hated and fought with a passion.
In Acts Chapter 4, they arrested Peter and John, threatened them not to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ but then let them go free.
Acts 4:23-28 (NLT) As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said. When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry? Why did they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah.’ “In fact, this has happened here in this very city! For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were all united against Jesus, your holy servant, whom you anointed. But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will.
Everything concerning you including the ugly and nasty rightly fits into what was determined beforehand according to God’s plan and provision for your life.
That’s why He says all things work together and fit into a plan for good for you. See-Romans 8:28.
Trust in and look to the God of predestination who’s got you covered from start to finish.
