And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:11 (NKJV)
Many in the Church think and believe that Eternal Life is attained and only happens when one dies and goes to heaven to be with the Lord.
But that’s not the entire package, it’s both now and when you pass on to Heaven.
Eternal Life starts now; it is a right now present tense reality and assurance for whosoever believes in Jesus Christ.
One of the reasons we have the Word of God written to us is to assure us that we have Eternal Life right in the here and now.
1 John 5:13 (NKJV) These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may [continue to] believe in the name of the Son of God.
God has already given us Eternal Life in His Son Jesus Christ. All that God is and has is what Eternal Life is all about and it’s all found in Christ.
When you heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and believed you received all of God. You received the Life of God.
You’re a partaker of the Divine Nature.
The Life of God is a righteous life – so you have a righteous life.
The Life of God is a holy life – so you have a holy life.
The Life of God is a peaceful life – so you have a peaceful life.
The Life of God is a joyful life – so you have a joyful life.
The Life of God is a blessed life – so you have a blessed life.
The Life of God is a restful life- so you have a restful life.
The Life of God is eternal – so you have Eternal Life.
This God kind of Life is your kind of life not when you die and go to heaven but right now in this present world.
Live and walk conscious of this blessed reality that you possess and are possessed of the very Life of God. Say it, meditate on it, give thanks for it, tell it and experience it.
