When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” John 8:10-11 (NKJV)
Condemnation doesn’t help; it’s like pouring gasoline on the flames of sin and fueling the sinner to sin even more. Because the condemned are convinced they’re beyond hope, they act their conviction. But Jesus took our condemnation in His death for all our sins. His Resurrection from the dead was God’s proof that He made us right with Him. Romans 4:25
When we hear, know, and are convinced that God has forgiven us all our sins at the Cross and that we’ve been made right through Christ’s Resurrection, we are empowered to live and walk right, holy and pleasing to God and in harmony with others.
