God’s people taken as captives to Babylon wept and hung their harps there. They refused to sing any of the Lord’s songs while in captivity. Psalm 137:3-4. They failed to see God’s plans beyond the captivity and exile, that God intended to do them good even there where they were because of their sins. That He wanted to glorify His Name in them even among the nations He had scattered them.Regardless of what uncertainty or hardships you’re going through and no matter whether it was because of your wrong doing, don’t hang up your harp, don’t refuse to sing to the Lord.Count it all joy when in trials. James 1:2. Praise and glorify the Lord.Paul and Silas beaten, wounded, breeding, and chained in prison didn’t hung up their harps. At midnight in the hearing of other prisoners, they sang praises to God who opened the prison doors and broke the chains off of them. Acts 16:22-26.Always keep playing your harp making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19. Sing the Lord’s song of joy, deliverance, and victory.
