Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been [in that condition] a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” John 5:5-6(NKJV)
Although He always knew, Jesus often asked people what they wanted even when it was obvious.
Many times when we’ve been long in a problem we get so used to it that we become part of the problem or it becomes a part of us in our mind. So we need to be shaken out of that even bigger problem of the wrong mindset.
“Do you want to be well?” is meant to get the problem out of the mind first in order to get it out of your life or situation.
Whether it’s physical, emotional, relational, or financial wellness, it all starts in the mind.
More than wanting or crying out to be well, choose and pursue a mindset and attitude of wellness. On purpose, intentionally, think; imagine healing, health, and wholeness.
