Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring [it] to pass. Psalms 37:5(NKJV)
Committing your way to the Lord is more than just mentally religiously repeating those words that “Lord I commit my way to you”It is choosing to see, say, and act according to the Lord’s way. It is choosing to see, say and act in agreement with the Word the Lord has said. One time Jesus told the disciples “let’s cross over to the other side of the lake” Luke 8:22-25. Jesus committed His way to the Father in what He said – He immediately went to rest and sleep. As they sailed, a violent storm arose threatening to drown them. The disciples had not committed their way (the safe crossing over to the other side) to the Lord. That’s why they cried “we are perishing”! In Mark’s account of this event they said “Master don’t you care that we are dying!? Mark 4:38.Instead of seeing, saying, and acting on what Jesus said at the start of the journey they were seeing, saying and acting in fear moved by the contradicting situation.Whatever you do, choose and stick with seeing, saying, and acting on what the Lord has already said in His Word. Then the Lord will bring it to pass.
