As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. Galatians 6:14 (NLT)
The Cross is where the old is brought to an end and where the New begins.
The fall, the loss, the suffering, the hardships, the pain, the devastation and the death that came into the earth and over creation from a tree in the garden of Eden was dealt with and finally put away by Christ on a another tree at Calvary. God personally present in Christ totally redeemed man from sin and all its effects at Calvary’s Cross, and then ushered man into the Life of his original design.
To come to Calvary is to awaken to, accept, and embrace what God has personally present in Christ on the Cross already finished in delivering us from the dominion of darkness and transferring us into the dominion of light.
It is giving up on and letting go of our own self efforts to save ourselves and in the place of that saying yes to Jesus and His redemptive suffering for us.
So come to Calvary, come to the Cross, come to Christ, accept God’s way of helping, saving and healing you from all maladies. Accept and rely on Jesus’ death to deliver you from sin and his resurrection from the dead to make you right with God.
