The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He helped and saved me. Psalm 116:6 (AMPC)
Who are the simple? It’s not those who ask God for simple, little, not too difficult or complicated requests. The simple may be facing the greatest and hardest troubles but their approach to God is simple – they approach Godlike children. One Bible version says “The Lord protects those of childlike faith” – Psalm 116:6a (NLT)Child-like faith or simple faith has no questionings or reasonings. There’s no “but” or “what if” All a child knows is that the parent is able. There’s no “but this is too big or hard” there’s no “what if mom or dad isn’t willing to do it” Childlike faith that releases God’s power is so totally preoccupied with the willingness, ability, and faithfulness of God. In this consciousness all doubts, worries, and fears of “but” ‘what if” are drowned out.
