Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 1 Timothy 3:2-3 (NIV)
Whatever we seek to be in charge of, there are three Cs that can help charge us to full capacity not only to take but stay in charge.
The three Cs are –
Committed, Caring, and Controlled. Committed
1Timothy3:2 .. faithful to his wife..This implies being committed. You can’t take charge and stay in charge of what you’re not faithful or committed to.
Caring
1Timothy3:2..hospitable.. This implies caring for others. The first and best way to take charge of anything is to care for it. If you don’t care about what you think about you won’t be able to take charge of your mind. You’ve got to take care of your body in order to take charge of it.
Controlled
1Timothy3:3..not given to drunkenness, not violent..This signifies controlling your appetites, emotions, and actions
