If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 (NKJV)
Wisdom is to life what capital is to business.
You can’t start, run, and finish anything in life without wisdom.
Knowing the right thing to do in any given situation and doing it is wisdom. This is what directs and helps us to succeed. Ecclesiastes 10:10 (NLT) Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.
Good news is this priceless asset is closely and readily available and attainable. Proverbs 1:20-21 (GNT) Listen! Wisdom is calling out in the streets and marketplaces, calling loudly at the city gates and wherever people come together:
God is the source of wisdom and He freely liberally gives to whosoever wants and asks for it.
We can never tire or wear out God always turning and looking to Him for wisdom. It is His delight and satisfaction that we live and walk wisely at all times and in every area and situation of life.
How does God give wisdom? He speaks it. God gives wisdom by saying it.
Proverbs 2:6 (NKJV) For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth [come] knowledge and understanding
Jesus said that when we act on His sayings we are like the wise man who built his house on a rock foundation. Matthew 7:24-25. This means His sayings are Wisdom. His Word is Wisdom.
Therefore the first place to draw godly wisdom is in what God says. It is from the Word of God. Every time you’re in God’s Word you’re getting God’s Wisdom. Whenever you turn to, look to, or enquire from Scripture, you are acquiring God’s wisdom.
Secondly, God puts wisdom in our hearts.
Job 38:36 (WBT) Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
God makes us to know wisdom in our hearts.
Psalms 51:6 (NKJV) Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden [part] You will make me to know wisdom.
We can take advantage of the wisdom that God freely and liberally gives by paying attention to and following the leadings in our hearts.
Therefore place a demand on or ask for wisdom by immersing yourself in His Word and listening to and following your heart.
