Luke 18:1 (MSG) Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit.
To always be in the spirit of prayer means that you are always in communion with the Lord. It is being in constant communication with Him. It’s more than just telling Him what’s going on in our lives, asking Him what we want, telling Him what to do for us. Nothing wrong with all of that but the spirit of prayer is in its truest and ultimate sense more of listening to the Lord, hearing His thoughts, finding out His plans and purposes.
Always in the spirit of prayer includes continually exalting God – Father in heaven, Holy is Your Name. Luke 11:2a.
It includes yielding to His rule and power – Your Kingdom come. Luke 11:2b
It includes focusing on and following what He desires for us in every moment- Your will be done. Luke11:2c. Make it your ambition to always live in a spirit of prayer every day.
