For the others all seek [to advance] their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). Philippians 2:21 (AMPC)
The interests of Christ in any situation and at any time are not of a selfish nature. He laid down His Life for all of us. Now He lives forever for our wellbeing and benefit. Therefore there are no more worthy, any more noble interests than those of Christ.
While He was here on earth Jesus did not seek to please Himself but the Father who sent Him and the interests of the Father were to seek and save lost people.
We ought also likewise to seek to please our Lord and Master who called and sent us to advance His interests.
He is interested more in the welfare of His people. Philippians 2:20 (AMPC) For I have no one like him [no one of so kindred a spirit] who will be so genuinely interested in your welfare and devoted to your interests.
Focus more on seeing and helping others out of their ignorance and lostness into the light of Christ’s purposes for them. That’s the interests of Christ.
