True Love won’t force itself on the object of it’s attention. God is love and He will never force Himself or anything on us even though His only intent is giving and doing us good. He awaits us to freely, voluntarily, choose to accept Him and all that He offers. This is what a part to play on our side is all about. We have to hear, believe, and trust in God and all His wonderful offers in order to experience and enjoy them.
You can’t lay hold of and take advantage of what you don’t trust in. You can’t trust in what you don’t believe in. You can’t believe in what you’ve never heard of.
That’s why we need to hear the Gospel – the Good News of God’s wonderful offer of Salvation in Christ Jesus so we can believe, then trust and so experience and enjoy it all.
