I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love Ephesians 4:1-2(NKJV)
God called us in His unconditional, everlasting love, poured out that same love in our hearts (Romans 5:5) and sent us out to share that same love with others. Our calling is walking in love. A life worthy of the calling is where love decides and dominates in all our conduct.
The Scripture has admonished us that – with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, we are to bear with one another in Love.
To walk in love is to walk in God and that’s life in it’s truest sense.
The opposite of love is not actually hatred but selfishness. Hatred is a result of selfishness.
A life worthy of the calling is living free of selfishness. It’s considering and caring for others around you.
