“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. John 14:1(NLT)
A gigantic ship can sail afloat without sinking in the great ocean even in the midst of the heaviest winds and storms as long as no water leaks in.
That’s the same way you can live untroubled in a no matter how terribly troubled world. That’s as long as you don’t allow the trouble into your heart.
You can’t stop the world around you from getting troubled but you can keep your heart from being troubled. This is possible and done by trusting God as the last part of our theme Scripture says.
Trusting in God is a heart assurance and confidence that rests in the knowledge that the all-powerful, all knowing, everywhere present God is on your side watching and caring for you no matter what’s happening and therefore everything will turn out for your good and well-being.
Trusting God is born out of listening to Him.
Proverbs 1:33 (TPT) But the one who always listens to me will live undisturbed in a heavenly peace. Free from fear, confident and courageous, you will rest unafraid and sheltered from the storms of life.
