But when the proper time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born subject to [the regulations of] the Law, To purchase the freedom of (to ransom, to redeem, to atone for) those who were subject to the Law, that we might be adopted and have sonship conferred upon us [and be recognized as God’s sons]. Galatians 4:4-5 (AMPC)
God was born as us to awaken us to our true birth in Him. He came down to where we had fallen in order to raise us back to our original place in Him. Our restoration to our sonship is described and experienced as “…this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found…” Luke 15:24.
The Son who was always alive with the Father was born to die our death so we may also be forever alive with the Father. The one always found in the bosom of the Father left and came into the abyss of our lostness so we may be found and received back as sons in the Father’s bosom.
We are sons of God through the Faith of the Son of God.
