The context of this verse starts in verse 2 where we are instructed on what to do in dealing with trials or troubles. Wisdom is to know the right thing to do in a given situation and promptly doing it. Therefore wisdom is needed to face, go through, and overcome trials and thank God we can draw wisdom from Him by asking. God is available and ready to show us the way through, over, or out of trouble. It is foolishness to deal with trouble on our own, without telling and letting God involved. Wisdom is first and foremost acknowledging and looking to God as our source of help. When it comes to the first thing to do when in any trouble, ask God. He’s a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Psalms 46:1(AMPC)
