Proverbs 3:30-32 (MSG) Don’t walk around with a chip on your shoulder, always spoiling for a fight. Don’t try to be like those who shoulder their way through life. Why be a bully? “Why not?” you say. Because GOD can’t stand twisted souls. It’s the straightforward who get his respect.
The way of the wicked world is “survival for the fittest” They call it the law of the jungle. While this is understandable among irrational wild animals in the forest, it’s not the normal acceptable right way for man who was created in God’s image and likeness.
We shouldn’t be taking advantage of those who are weaker than us. We should not step on others in order to get ahead or climb to the top. We shouldn’t manipulate and exploit to make it in life. This is the way of the fallen world’s system and they call it being shrewd but according to God it’s twistedness and our theme Scripture says God can’t stand twisted souls. We don’t have to be dishonest in order to navigate our way even through a corrupt system. It’s the straightforward who get God’s respect.
The plus factor of real life and of true success is God’s respect or approval. As long as we have God’s respect everything else will effortlessly fall in line for us because God ultimately runs the jungle or the world.
