Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name. Malachi 3:16 (AMPC)
A book is a compilation of the known facts regarding something or someone. God has book, a compilation of known facts regarding you. He has a book of remembrance about you. You’re never forgotten before God. You’re ever in his mind and heart. He has imprinted you on his hands, you’re always before him. Isaiah 49:16.
The Holy Book, the Bible, the Word of God or Scripture is a compilation of the things that God knows about you. God knows the thoughts or plans he has for you. They are thoughts or plans of peace, wellbeing, safety, wholeness, prosperity and not evil. Jeremiah 29:11. God has got these precious thoughts or plans concerning you written down in a book of remembrance. This is to help you not to forget them. In the book of Psalms 103:3-5, He reminds you not to forget His benefits which include forgiveness of sins, healing, deliverance, favor, provision and preservation. The apostle Peter talks about this same remembrance or reminder. He says it’s for the purpose of stirring, arousing, stimulating, activating, encouraging, and firing us up.
So I intend always to remind you about these things, although indeed you know them and are firm in the truth that [you] now [hold]. I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle (tent, body), to stir you up by way of remembrance, Since I know that the laying aside of this body of mine will come speedily, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. Moreover, I will diligently endeavor [to see to it] that [even] after my departure (decease) you may be able at all times to call these things to mind. 2 Peter 1:12-15 (AMPC)
