He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their chains in pieces.
Psalms 107:14 (NKJV)
This is what the Lord has done for all of us, for every girl, boy, woman, man on earth. Deliverance is not a future event to look forward to, it’s not something to struggle and fight for. It’s not something we must achieve in our own wisdom or might. It’s not something to fast or sow a seed for. Rather it’s a past tense reality awaiting us to embrace it. It’s a work of God that He has personally present in Christ accomplished for us on the Cross.
We have already been delivered, set free from all bondage and limitation. The Word of God is truth and it tells us that ” He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed [us] into the kingdom of the Son of His love” Colossians 1:13. Bondage, chains, the prison, limitations are now in the mind. God delivered Israel from slavery in Egypt under pharaoh with a mighty hand, split the Red sea and they crossed over on dry ground. He led them as freed people, protecting, providing for them in the wilderness for forty years. But they remained slaves, oppressed, in bondage, in prison, limited in their own minds. They never believed they had been set free. They were always complaining and discouraged in the face of temporary trials and challenges. What you’re going through is not the truth because it is subject to change and it’s momentary. What God says and has already done is the truth, unchangeable, and eternal. You have been set free to live free, to live victorious. Agree with God.
The only deliverance you need is from thinking that you need deliverance. Freedom from a mindset of chains, prison, limitations is what we need, it’s the only deliverance we should preach and pray for.
