If God hadn’t created man He wouldn’t have gone through sorrow and pain including dying on the Cross. But then because God created humanity and redeemed us from sin through death, He has an exceedingly great family to enjoy forever. People who want to keep their little space exclusively to themselves miss out on the vibrant spacious world relationships create. The woman who chooses not to have children because she’s preserving her figure and career loses out on the unique wonderful beautiful living forms and shapes with great careers that would come out of her. If a child learning to stand or walk decides he’s not ready to fall then he’s just given up on a more dynamic and comfortable level of movement. If we don’t want any discomfort we stay where we are. But when we embrace the discomfort, we make progress and even get into what’s more comfortable, enjoyable and fulfilling.
