The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands. Proverbs 14:1(NKJV).
In the book of Proverbs both wisdom and foolishness are personified as a woman. Wisdom is a helpful profitable woman while foolishness is a painful destructive woman. Wisdom builds but foolishness tears down. If you want to build anything, get hold of wisdom. Just like a man who desires to build a family gets a wife. Do you want to build, grow, increase, advance – whether it’s your life, health, relationships, education, skill, career, business or ministry? Bring wisdom on board. What God tells us in His Word is the wisdom we need to build that which lasts – Matthew 7:24-27. For everything you want to build, first build yourself on the wisdom of God from His Word. Don’t attempt anything contrary to what God says. Jesus said if we don’t gather with Him, we are scattering – Luke 11:23. Foolishness is disagreeing with and contradicting what God says. This is what will pull down and destroy what we are building. If what we are doing doesn’t agree with godly principles it will fall apart. Wisdom agrees with God the builder of all things – Hebrews 3:4. So wisdom always builds.
