Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. Psalm 126:5 (NKJV)
The time of sowing is letting go of what you have, sometimes everything you have. It’s a time when nothing seems to be happening and there’s nothing you can do about it. The seed is buried, broken, dies, and seems like it’s forgotten.But then the seed that died rises bringing forth a harvest of not only new life but multiplied several times over. Now it’s time to rejoice bringing in the sheaves. Psalm 126:6.Jacob labored many years to pay for Rachel’s bride price but it seemed only a few days to him because of the love he had for her Genesis 29:20. His eyes were on the harvest. That’s how he patiently endured.In giving His life, suffering, and dying, Jesus was sowing seed that would lead to the harvest of our redemption and restoration.He sowed in suffering and sorrow. But He wasn’t distracted or discouraged by the shame and pain of the process. He focused on the joy of the harvest which is you and me free and living forever with Him. Hebrews 12:2The beginning and hardest part of life or any pursuit is seed time.Though it can be difficult we can endure by setting our eyes on the joy of the harvest.Set your eyes on the harvest. Set your mind and heart on the good outcome of your endeavors and you shall endure to the end.
