Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4 (NIV)
How do you approach God? In your prayer and fellowship do you approach God from a sense of self-preoccupation where you think of how you haven’t been good enough, haven’t performed up to standard so you begin by talking about your sins and weaknesses and needs?God wants you to approach Him with a consciousness of His love, mercy, approval, kindness, acceptance, forgiveness and goodness. This makes you to always start with thanksgiving in your conversation and fellowship with Him.From the fall of Adam people have been so self-conscious – focused on what they should do and hadn’t done right that they are afraid of God and can’t approach Him. But God loves us, accepts and is good and kind to us, He has done wonderful things for us. So, the right and acceptable attitude in approaching God should be thanksgiving.Enter His gates with thanksgiving means engage, participate, and share in fellowship with God through thanksgiving.
